Dianas of the Chase Cup to go ahead on Sunday 23rd March at noon at Ingarsby Old Hall

A weekend of racing is set to rival Cheltenham.  The Fernie Hunt’s annual Harborough Ride will run on Saturday 22nd March and Diana’s of The Chase Cup (the only sidesaddle race in the world), will run on Sunday 23rd March.

The race will start at Midday and run over 2 miles of turf, hedges and timber at Ingarsby Old Hall, by kind permission of Formula 1 legend Brian Henton.

Brian will start the race with a checked flag and the 15 or so runners from all over Europe on a variety of steeds will set off sidesaddle in the second running of this exclusive race.

BBC 2 are coming to film the race as part of a documentary on Tatler.  The event is also to be covered glossy magazines and broadsheet newspapers.
Prizes have been kindly donated by heritage brands Lock and Co, Patey Hats, Horace Batten boots and The Hunting Stock Market.

The VIP party that follows is kindly sponsored by Smith and Williamson and AGL Communications.

Cars are £10 entry and this goes to The Quorn Hunt, in whose hunt country Ingarsby Old Hall stands.
